You might have noticed our website has been less than reliable over the weekend.
Today is day one of our brand new Virtual Private Server and we’re pretty excited. We looked over our previous site and decided that we needed to make some changes to better handle traffic demands and improve overall load time of our site.
You also can probably tell that we’ve changed our site design dramatically. We weren’t happy with a number of aspects of the previous design and wanted to start fresh with the design as well as the server.
Much like the Steam Winter Sale the 2013 holiday season is coming to an end. The team at Gamecrastinate has been up for the past few weeks in Asheville, North Carolina visiting family, enjoying the cold, taking pictures of old buildings and sticks, and grilling meat outdoors in the freezing night.
While sleeping until noon and walking uphill both ways in a frosty labyrinth town of winding roads and hipster charm is pretty much the perfect life, it’s time to head back to our headquarters of Winter Park, Florida. Our office (and home) is located about 1/4 mile away from Full Sail University, 20 minutes from UCF (go knights!), and roughly 35 minutes from SeaWorld, Universal, and Disney.
There’s a good chance we’re going to hate being back in the unforgiving heat of Florida. As a result, you can expect lots of articles and other exclusive in-house content written in the comfort of year-round air conditioning, because really we play too many video games and our skin is far too pale to go outdoors and endure the sun and heat for very long.
We’ve got lots of fun reviews and featured articles planned for 2014 and wish you a healthy year where you only die in video games. Good luck!
