Obsidian Entertainment and the Allods Team, along with publisher My.com, took to the official Skyforge forums to lay out details on the unique class system for their upcoming MMORPG. The developers have been paying attention and taking notes from the ever-evolving way people tend to play games nowadays. With a clear influence from popular MOBAs and a focus on player customization on-the-fly, Skyforge’s development team is hoping to make a big splash with their unique take on the traditional MMORPG systems.
Rather than forcing players to immediately select their race and class before really getting a feel for their respective styles, Skyforge allows players to change their class any time they want out of combat. As the players grow in level new classes become available for even more customization.
You can focus on maxing out your character by playing and developing one type of class, but there is also the option of going further and developing classes which fit other roles in a group. In many MMORPGs you may have come across groups that needed to fill a specific role. âNeed Tank Last Slot!â. Sound familiar?
Veteran MMORPG players likely are all too familiar with the perils of  pick-up groups. The horrible feeling of bashing your collective heads against the wall as your particular mix of classes just can’t seem to defeat an encounter no matter what you do. Skyforge’s class system allows players to completely revamp their strategies for an encounter by changing classes based on what type of tactics you’ll need to use.
