In April, Techland announced that Hellraid would come to next-gen platforms and was now undergoing a transition to Chrome Engine 6, the latest version of Techland’s technology designed to take full advantage of the new hardware generation. In August, the effect of this profound change was presented to invited journalists at gamescom in Cologne, Germany. Since its reveal last year, Hellraid has expanded and evolved thanks to the developers’ experience and players’ feedback. While the game will remain faithful to its first-person co-op slasher gameplay, Techland has decided to implement new features and technology, and is now ready to announce them and show it all off in a brand new trailer which you can watch below.

Big news from Hellraid developers Techland today who revealed that Hellraid will now be developed using the same next-gen engine they are using for the upcoming Dying Light game.  Hellraid will benefit from a new physics-based lighting system, more detailed locations and character models, complex animations, advanced particle effects, and state-of-the-art AI systems.
