As player in SOE’s worlds for over 10 years I’ve gone through a wide range of emotions when it comes to SOE and John Smedley but at the end of the day you just can’t help hoping for their success when it comes to Everquest Next.

It’s obvious that Sony Computer Entertainment (PS4 division surprisingly) has some big plans for the future of Sony Online Entertainment (Everquest, Planetside). Everquest might be a big game on PC, but the real goal whether admitted or not is a console takeover.
