Atari’s Minimum is adding a variety of new features to the game. Two new maps and a new gameplay mode are being added to the game with the latest update. In addition, Minimum will be on sale for 50% off throughout the duration of the Steam Summer Sale.

The new features coming to Minimum include:

Team Death Match Mode (TMD) – All the fun of Minimum’s customizable armor and power-up weapons packed into hectic arenas without worrying about massive titans. Play on two new maps custom tailored for the new mode with exciting design features and strategies.

Space Station Map (TDM) – Floating in space with a breathtaking view of the galaxy, the Space Station features cramped quarters on the inside with broad low gravity zones on the outside. The map includes intergalactic features such as force fields that stop weapon fire, but allow players to pass through unharmed.

Courtyard Map (TDM) – Try out urban combat in the nearly battle-hardened Courtyard. The map features longer sight lines and more places to hide than Space Station, as well as rewards for group fighting.

Player Designed Disaster Zone (Titan Mode) – Disaster Zone has been completely overhauled from a testable block-styled location to a full-featured, artful map thanks to player design feedback. Already considered a favorite map by fans, Disaster Zone lets fighters experience a besieged city in the Minimum universe.

Samurai and Disaster Rescue Armor Sets – Two brand new sets of armor to mix and match! The Samurai armor focuses on increasing the deadliness of the melee weapon and close combat bonuses while the Disaster Rescue armor provides all-around benefits.

Player Aided Balance Improvements – Thanks to the community’s engagement, Minimum now has improved balance across the board through increased time to kill, added new features like weapon auto-leveling and power level cost scaling, and adjustments to armor and weapon stats.

Atari brings word that Minimum, a minimalistic third-person shooter, has just released its first post-release update and a brand new trailer showing off the game.

One week in and Atari’s fast-paced, multiplayer online battle arena and crafting game Minimum is getting its first update, featuring an early-version map that the community will help design, new weapons and armor sets, and Steam friends-list matching. Along with the patch, Minimum has a new trailer showcasing the game’s minimalistic world and combat tactics.

The game is currently available on Steam Early Access for $19.99, you can check out the game on Steam at http://store.steampowered.com/app/214190/

The new features coming to Minimum include

Titan Mode Map (Player’s Feedback Needed)– A map that offers large open areas and longer sight lines, Disaster Zone allows for better focus on squad tactics with lots of verticality and routes for players to use when attacking enemy Titans. This early-stage map is intentionally a little rough around the edges so players share input with Atari and Human Head so they can shape the final design version of the map with the community’s feedback.

Steam Friends List– Players can now directly join their friend’s matches via the Steam friends list. This feature will be further enhanced in the coming weeks by the ability to add true party matchmaking, where players can create a group from their Steam friends list and then enter the matchmaking queue as that group; then get placed into a match all together.

Weapons– Players can release their inner pyro with a deadly, short-range Flame Turret that lights enemies on fire and a Napalm Grenade that leaves smoldering fire where the lethal device punctures the ground.

Armor – What good are new weapons without a little protection? Minimum now has the armor sets Major Tom, a spaceman-themed armor set that allows higher jumps, and Tactical, an armor set focused on buffs for projectile weapons such as snipers and shotguns.
The post Minimum gets new features in first update first appeared on Gamecrastinate.

Atari is shedding light on its newest game, Minimum, today with a snazzy new trailer filled with minimalistic-styled fighters and creatures in a chaotic environment.

Minimum features fast-paced, session-based combat that pits teams of five against each other with powerful, craftable weapons. Each team has their own gigantic robotic Titan that they power up and support to help them fight and destroy the enemy’s base. At the core of Minimum is an elaborate blueprint crafting system where players collect resources to create customized weapons and armor that power-up during kill streaks, enabling skilled warriors and Titans to become deadlier as matches progress.
