Over the course of WoW’s nearly 10-year history, raiding has probably undergone more iteration and change than any other game system. To put the upcoming Warlords of Draenor raid changes into proper context, this three-part blog series will attempt to retrace the twists and turns of our raid design philosophy from Molten Core through Siege of Orgrimmar. Veterans will hopefully enjoy the trip down memory lane, and we hope those who discovered raiding later on will gain some insight into how things used to be . . . and why they changed.

It’s an interesting read for people that are feeling a bit nostalgic or never kept up on the rich history of WoW. Lots of fascinating insight into the development process behind the most popular MMO ever.

Read the first part of the three part series on at battle.net
The post Blizzard looks back on the raid history of WoW in new blog series first appeared on Gamecrastinate.

Unsurprisingly there is still a wide customer base that prefers to get their content via a monthly subscription rather than being nickle and dimed at every corner. 13 year olds are surely sad at the news of no WoW free to play, but smart gamers everywhere should applaud Blizzards decision.
The post Blizzard Holding the Line, WoW Won’t Go F2P first appeared on Gamecrastinate.
