This is the type of headline that might make your existing fans happy but really makes your game look bad to just about everyone else. EA gave the go ahead for DICE to entirely stop development for every project and refocus on fixing the bugs in Battlefield 4. While this news is really great for people who already bought the game and can’t play it you know damn well somebody is in pretty big trouble over at EA and DICE.
Since launch BF4 has been hit with some pretty nasty bugs that have caused many players to protest the release of China Rising. The latest patch knocked even more players out of the game and DICE has finally seen fit to remedy the situation. It’s unfortunate that such an ambitious game has been crippled by so many bugs, especially considering the caliber of DICE as a development studio.
Here in the office we’re waiting to dedicate some serious time to the game until January when by that time hopefully most of the more serious issues have been worked out. We played during beta and while the game immediately showed promise our computers were not very cooperative in running the game smoothly. Sadly in beta it was quite clear that there were some problems and that they would continue into launch.
