The latest patch for Battlefield 4 is mostly a bug fix update, though it also includes improvements to the net code as well.

The Community Test Environment (CTE) will provide passionate fans the chance to evolve Battlefield 4 with us and become a part of the development process. We’ll be able to test new ideas and solutions to current issues before we roll them out to all Battlefield players.

Among the first things we will work on is the “Netcode,” which is what the player experiences with the game world including player-to-player interactions like damage registration. This involves tweaking to the “tickrate” servers and networking in general.

By launching this new program, not only will we be able to address player feedback at an early stage, but also increase the overall quality of the game. We are excited to explore the possibilities together with you.

Battlefield 4 will ultimately be the proving ground for AMD. There’s little doubt AMD is watching the public response to Mantle as surely a lot of time and money has been invested in introducing a new low-level API to the public and developers.

Based on the purported strength of the Battlefield 4 rollout then underway, defendants issued strong fiscal 2014 financial guidance for the Company and actually increased that guidance on October 29, 2013. The price of Electronic Arts’ stock steadily climbed on these statements, reaching a Class Period high of $28.13 per share by August 23, 2013 and allowing certain of Electronic Arts’ senior executives to sell their Electronic Arts stock at artificially inflated prices.

It’s bad when your players are up in arms over the game they already purchased. It’s way worse when your shareholders are filing lawsuits against you. That’s bad news for executives.
